This is such sad news about Marks passing, thank you Marion for letting us know. He will be missed by so many and all of his efforts and work will not never forgotten. Thank you Mark for everything and my thoughts are with your family right now.

I found Mark's posts, his Cholangiocarcinoma Patient Blog & his overwhelming thoughtfulness & generosity of spirit so inspiring. I will miss him very much & send love & best wishes to his family.

I am sad we lost such a great advocate for CC. I will pray for his family. Thank you Mark for getting the word out about this terrible disease and making a difference. Your voice will be missed but you will never be forgotten. Thank you Marion, for letting us know.

I did not have the good fortune to meet Mark but I would like to extend my Sympathies to his Family and Friends.

Those we love must someday pass beyond our present sight…
They leave us and the world we know without their radiant light.
But we know that like a candle their lovely light will shine
To brighten up another place more perfect…more divine.

On Monday we lost another angel to this disease, our dear Mark Stephens.

Mark had the unique ability to touch people’s souls with his kindness, his caring, and his warm demeanor. He was an exceptional person and has left a huge hole in the heart of so many.

Mark was Executive Vice President, State Government Affairs, National Patient Advocate Foundation, Washington, DC. Additionally, Mark spent much of his energy in advocating for this disease on behalf of the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.

Mark was instrumental in establishing the first Cholangiocarcinoma support group at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He presented a webinar on our site: Branching Out: How To Establish a Local Cholangiocarcinoma Support Group
