http://www.cholangiocarcinoma.org/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=758 Sun, 26 Aug 2007 01:43:36 +0000 PunBB 1.4.2 http://www.cholangiocarcinoma.org/punbb/viewtopic.php?pid=3312#p3312 Jerald has finished chemoradiation, having been called "Man of Steel" by the radiologist because of no nausea, diarrhea or other side effects.  HOWEVER!!!  His elastase test presurgery was normal, post surgery was 174 (normal is 200 to 500), post radiology:  6.  Yes, six!  He is not getting any nutrients from his food.  He will take enzyme replacement pills, but my QUESTION is this:  Did the radiation kill what was left of his pancreas?  Will it heal?  Does anybody have experience with this?  Thanks.  Kate
