Dear SharonLee, I think you kind of new this was coming and hope you get Hospice in sooner then later as they are such a huge help and will make sure Mom has everything she needs. Why don't you want to give her the Tylenol? At this point it is not going to hurt her and I remember Hospice had Teddy on Tylenol for his fevers. Anything that will help her stay comfortale is acceptable at this point. Your ONC will call and set up the initial appointment and they will come out to the house to see what Mom is in need of. We had a hospital bed for Teddy and it came that night! I set it up in the living room as it was brighter, airier and his big TV was there. It was also so much nicer for visitors and he could be in the center of everything. We had a walker for him as well. I know this is a hard time for you but be strong and you will never look back and regret what you did for your Mom. Cherish this time together.
