I had my first Zometa treatment with my 2nd round of chemo yesterday. i spiked a fever, going all the way to 102.4. Still running a fever today, though controlled to a degree with Tylenol. I am so tired.

Was wondering if others have had this side effect, and did it occur after every treatment, or did it eventually stop.

thanks

The thought of radiation scares me more then the thought of chemo. But that being said, and following my mantra of I CAN DO THIS, I will ask my Dr when i see her for my next chemo session. And will check out the posts on bone mets.

And I loved reading my son "The Little Engine that Could", now I want to be able to read it to grandchildren (whom I don't yet have) smile

thanks

Hi

just writing about weight loss.

I have lost about 15 lbs. I was just Dxed, and one of the meds the Dr put me on is Zyorexia. Which is actually used to treat mood disorders. But she gave it to me as one of the "negative" side effects of this drug, but for me a positive one, is increased appetite and weight gain. She also gave it to me to help me sleep.

Hi all

I think it's nice to have found you all. Wish I didn't need to but then I am sure you all feel that way.

I a 58 year old woman, i have intrahepatic CC, which has metastasized to various bones. I had my first chemo session yesterday, and my feeling is I CAN DO THIS!

I am receiving medical care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. So I feel confidence in my Drs. and that is a big stress reducer.

I don't have any questions yet, but will peruse the board, but just felt that I wanted to get started.
