Topic: The Love of my life is no longer with me

Gerry passed into the arms of Jesus on January 18, 2008.  I have never felt this kind of deep pain before. I miss him so much. He was the kind of person who touched the hearts of so many people. We were inseperable until now. I've lost my best friend and love of my life. He was such a loving, thoughtful and attentive husband, father and grandfather. He went into the hospital on Wed. the 16 very ill with sepsis and his portal vein was blocked. This led to what was left of his bile ducts being blocked. Within hours he was bright yellow and bleeding internally. They did a CT scan which showed that his liver had fallen apart.  He went to be with Jesus peacefully with 20 family and friends surrounding him in prayer. Cathy

Dear Cathy, I'm so sorry for your loss.  I can tell from your posts what a beautiful marriage you and Gerry had.  I'm glad he was surrounded by people who loved him when he passed.  You're in my prayers.

It is so hard when I read about the pain you are feeling,
it is here with our friends that we know others too understand our pain and feelings of loss.

My heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult time.  I lost my Dear Dad one year on January 13th and I draw comfort in having been by his side during his illness, even though there was not much we could do other than be with him.  I hope that in time you will be able to draw support from being with your husband and from the love you clearly shared.
