Dear All members

I need the specific information for cholangiocarcinoma treatment in John Hopkins Hospital and Mayo clinic. If any body knows Hepato Biliary Surgeon and Oncologist(Cholangiocarcinoma) of John Hopkins and Mayo Clinic kindly send me the email and direct phone number.
I am leaving in Paksitan so I need to travel USA if they (docotr) say yes you can treated us so please send me the contact information i need to contact them urgently.

If you look under the section Newly diagnosed (very top of the page) there is a section on major cancer/treatment centers and there is contact and other information  there.

Thanks kris,

I know the newly diagnosed section there is contact information but i need first to discuss my case with specific doctor because i have contacted in Singapore and the heapatobilliary surgeon refuse that he cant do surgeroy now.
and about newly diagnose section or any other medical web site they said come to hospital and take the appointment. And you know how much is the expenses only travel from Pakistan to USA or UK with residence approximately US$ 40 to 50K so How i can bear all these expenses only for appointment and after doctor will said sorry we can not do any thing.
Yes if doctor will said ok we can do any thing come here we should travel to anywhere.
So now i think you understand to my point of view.

its amazing that your ar fighting this war  for your brother with so much passion and  devotion. i really pray some doctor should help you out of this situation. as i have gone through the case   i would want you to discuss this case first with tumour board of any hospital  and then decide upon. as your case is at cross roads  and we dont know the direction on which the surgeons or oncologist decide. any way all the best and good luck

Dear Asif,
My husband was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma in August 2008. Our surgeon in our hometown made arrangements for us to go to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland to hopefully have a liver resection. Our surgeon was great but unfortunately my husband was not able to have the resection because the tumor involved the confluence of the bile duct as well as the portal vein and hepatic artery. The surgeon took out his gall bladder and rebuilt part of his bile duct so he could drain the bile from his liver. He also still has 2 plastic stents in his chest helping to drain. We were very happy with our surgeon. He worked for 8 hours on the tumor but just couldn't get it all out and it was more involved than what showed up on the imaging tests. I am sorry but I don't have an email address for him. I would highly recommend Dr. Pawlik.  However, if you can't get an appointment with him, there are other surgeons at Johns Hopkins that perform bilary surgery. Johns Hopkins is experienced in this kind of surgery and research. My husband had excellent care at this hospital.  Good luck and I will be thinking of you and your brother.

My boyfriend had two successful chemoembolizations of the tumor on his liver at John's Hopkins. His doctor is called Jean-Francois Geschwind and he is considered one of the very best intervention radiologists. If chemoembolization or theraspheres is a treatment you are looking into, I would recommend contacting Geschwind's staff at John's Hopkins. They were very quick to get my boyfriend treated and extremely helpful over the telephone.
