Topic: Papaya enzyme tablets - Heartburn

After suffering from bad heartburn we have discovered Papaya enzyme tablets and they seem to be working for Dad.

He was getting really bad heartburn at 5pm every day, now he takes 3 tablets after his meals and so far so good.

He has also been eating a celery stick after his main meal as we had read that this works for heartburn too.

Hope this helps others too.

Hi Andie,

Thanks for this. Is your dad getting the heartburn every night after his evening meal? Glad to hear that these tablets seem to be working and thanks also for the tip about celery sticks, I'd never heard of that.

My best to you and your dad,

Gavin

Re: Papaya enzyme tablets - Heartburn

Hi Gavin,

Yes he was getting it most nights and always around 5pm before his evening meal, which was therefore stopping him from wanting anything to eat,but luckily the papaya has put a stop to it.  The celery was working too, I read on the internet about it and thought it was worth a try.  Dad takes 3 tablets after his lunch and 3 after his evening meal and so far so good.  He also has a stick of celery after his evening meal too.

Hope you are well and the strong gales haven't been too much trouble for you in Scotland.  It is very windy here today, I have a feeling I will be doing my impression of Mary Poppins if I  put my umberella up lol.

Best wishes to you and your Mom

Hi Andie,

We are good thanks, although we are feeling a bit battered with the recent storms that we had here! Thankfully they seem to have blown themselves out now, but who knows what may be next! And we even got another blast of snow last week, grrrr, but thankfully as well, that has gone!

Hope you didn't do your Mary Poppins impersonation and that you are okay as well!

Best wishes,

Gavin
