Advise for Correct Disposal of Unused or Expired Home Medications

To dispose unused or expired medications ;put the medications in a sealable bag with a non-palpable substance(kitty litter,coffee grounds,etc.,) and dispose in the regular trash.
Controlled substances like morphine tablets, oxycontin can still be flushed.

The Controlled Substance Act (in the States) does not allow for the pharmacies to accept controlled substances that were prescribed to patients for disposal at this point .
