Topic: My beloved MOM

My MOM born on 1947, passed away peacefully at an Oncology Department   with her loved ones at her side,  at the age of 70 last week, after a 7 months illness.

Oncologist in Turkey is very bad. They dont know and want to manage complex diseases like CCA.
They dont care cancer patients efficiently. They dont try clinical trials.
They dont want to spend their time to cure  patients.

If her family hadn't with her all the time and  given best supportive care, she would have died 5 months ago.

I will never forget her.

Re: My beloved MOM

Sorry to hear about the passing of your mom, and I know you were very passionate about helping her.  The most important is the entire family was together to offer support.  It is unfortunate, not just in Turkey but the U.S. also where the standard treatment is limited.  Hopefully, we see more clinical trials for CC also.  This is a complex disease and it starts with the research which needs to gradually shift from only chemotherapy options.

Thanks so much for joining the forum and sharing your experience.  She has an amazing son who cared.  Continue to share your story with others.

Re: My beloved MOM

Dear Alikemal,,

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved mother.  With this horrible disease, too often we see loved ones do everything possible within their means, and the disease still wins.  It's also very sad that not all have access to all the treatments which could help.

Your desire to help other even after your loss show so strongly what a caring person you are.

Take care of yourself,
