Topic: Daddy is at peace

My Daddy passed to heaven yesterday January 14, 2009 at 11:25 a.m.  He was surrounded by love as he took his final breath.  We moved him to Haven Hospice house Monday, he was in so much pain.  He suffered so much close to the end, until they could get his pain under control.  But for his last 12 hours of this life, he slept peacefully.

I will write more later when I can - I want to share the details of his last few days with this awful cancer.  It is so unpredictable and different for everyone.

Thank you for reading my post.

Smiles through tears,
Patsy

Re: Daddy is at peace

Dear Patsy,

I'm so sorry to hear of your Daddy's death.  How lucky he was to have his loving family with him as he passed to heaven.

You are a wonderful legacy he's left behind.  Know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Take care of yourself and your family in the coming days.  Please write more when you feel you are able.

In love and with hugs,

Pam

My Mom lost her one year battle with CC on April 3, 2009.

"A prognosis is simply an audit of how truly precious each day is.  Live each day to the maximum, celebrate what was, and what is - Don't spend your life looking forward to what will or might be." .... words of wisdom from my beloved son on hearing of his grandmother's CC prognosis.

Patsy,

Surrounded by love is what everyone hopes for, I really feel that as we accompany someone who is dying, we bear witness to their life. You are in my prayers.
