Re: new member

Welcome Moon!

I hope you get the scan and it comes back clean. It must be difficult when there is a history of it in the family.

Please do not worry about your English. I am living in Sweden, and I promise your English is much better than my swedish! If you have any questions, please ask and we will help you any way we can.

Best of luck to you and your husband.

Moon, welcome to the best little club in the world that no one wishes to join.
Sorry to hear this has been in your family before. Here is hoping for a perfect scan for Tom. You have come to the right place to ask questions, give advice or vent. Welcome to our family that is unfortunately growing. I just had a thought that with quite a few people here from all over the world one could travel now and have friends in every country!

Re: new member

Moon,

I too want to welcome you and say that I am glad that you found it.  Sorry to hear you need to be here and that this is the second family member to have this horrible disease. As you probably have figured out by reading on the site, this is the best place to be when dealing with this monster of a cancer.  Getting a pet scan is a very good move & I will be hoping that the results are good. Let us know how it turns out.

Seriously we are only a keystroke away to help you on this journey.

My Mom lost her one year battle with CC on April 3, 2009.

"A prognosis is simply an audit of how truly precious each day is.  Live each day to the maximum, celebrate what was, and what is - Don't spend your life looking forward to what will or might be." .... words of wisdom from my beloved son on hearing of his grandmother's CC prognosis.

Re: new member

Hello Moon,
It is so sad to have two people in the same family with this disease. My husband and his Brother both were diagnosed with Sclerosing Cholingitus, which was a percurser to his CC, so we know this disease does affect people with the same gene pool. Unfair, isn't it? Anyway, I hope his scan turns out well, and best of luck to you and your husband.

Re: new member

Hi Moon,
Like to welcome you to the site, you have come to the right place for information, encouragement, hope, and friendship, so sorry your family has been stricken twice with this cancer. We are all here for you!
By the way, I am Italian/American and speak semi- decent Italian, but I CANT write it.  I am always impressed when someone can not only speak a foreign language, but write it also, especially English.  The english language has so many idioms, silent letters, irregular verbs....very difficult second language.  I think you are doing great in that department.
Take care
Peace
