Topic: yipeee!!!! great news!

I got great news on todays ct scan!!!!   Both my surgeon and oncologist said the scan looks great,  they see nothing abnormal.  Although it appears my liver shrunk? Actually it has atrophied since surgery.  I guess that is normal.  I am so releived.  I wish I did not get myself so riled up before the scans.    Jean, you are so right that this time is different than the beginning of this journey with cc...2 yrs post surgery indeed is different  I will try to tell myself that again next time.  I will always have some anxiety but I need try to find a way through it so I can begin to enjoy this second chance I have been given.  I wish all our friends here many second chances and thank God for my good news and all the well wishes from all of you.  Thanks again Darla for the kind words!  It all means so much to me.  Kris... I hope you are feeling well never give up hope.. you are such an inspiration!!  May God Bless everyone touched by cc.   deb

Deb,

That is great news.  I will be hoping that every future scan will look as great. For now, just go out there and live each day to the fullest and enjoy every minute.

Re: yipeee!!!! great news!

Deb,

I was on the board earlier and just popped back in to check and got your fabulous news!

Getting past the anxiety must be very difficult, it is hard to live life looking over your shoulder but cc also teaches us to savor every moment.

Re: yipeee!!!! great news!

Hi Debra...  I just wanted to echo what everyone else has said.  I am happy to hear such good results.  I can also relate to the shrinking of the liver.  When I had radiation, part of my livere atrophied which basically stopped growth for a good period of time.  It really makes me happy to see the words of hope and faith reappear in the posts lately.  Even though our lives are always in the hands of God, he likes to hear the self convictions of his children.  Keep up that positive attitude, it'll take you great distances with little miracles in between.  I just found my gold ring after being loss for 3 months.  It had the word Dad on it wirh diamond accents.  My kids gave it to me years ago until my fingers became so skinny it slid off one day.  I found it inside a t-shirt of my dresser drawer.  I know it is sentimental but reminds me of the white pebble story on the beach.  God Bless, and continue your positive progress.  That goes for the rest of you all as well, Lots of love to you all!

Re: yipeee!!!! great news!

Great news, Deb!  I can just feel your joy.  Get a visual on this.  I just did a front cartwheel with a flip around doing a backflip landing on my two feet raising a leg and spinning speedily with a leg in the air.  From there I did the splits and cheered one of the old Storm Lake Tornado cheers.  Actually all of this friskiness is in my mind, but it means I'm so so happy for you.

Re: yipeee!!!! great news!

Sophie,

When I was a girl we played Olympic gymnastics and sometimes I would have to be the judge. I give you a 10.0.

Patty

p.s. Playing Olympic gymnastics meant that you picked which gymnast you were (Nadia Comaneci and Nelly Kim were my favorites) and pretended to be them when you did your routine in our living room. For long tumbling passes we had to start in the kitchen and run through the dining room before exploding into our floor exercise.
