Topic: Dexamethasone

I've been taking this for about two weeks to increase my appetite. It's finally kicked in and now I crave carbs. Bread, crackers, ramen noodles... I can't get enough. Not very nutritional but I'll take the food.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Oh yes.  I was put on dexamethasone for nausea during chemo.  It worked like a charm for that, but I also gained weight I did not need to. Wanted to eat all the time smile

I have lost so much weight that they want me to gain. I think I'm more surprised at this than getting cancer! It may sound ridiculous but it's true.
