Topic: A few more thoughts

Considering that just as recently as three years ago very little research has gone into this cancer I must say....we have come a long way.  And, I must emphasize that our little community (The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, comprised of members in the US and worldwide) has been an intricate part of this welcome development.  But, we have a long way to go. Together we must propel furthering research of this cancer.  Pardon for borrowing the expression from someone famous:

Marion you are something else. I say we should have you run on the Cholangio ticket for the next Presidential Election! I would be your manager. There I go again trying to control things! You are one gutsy little broad and I say that with much affection! That is a nickname my BFF gave me and I gladly share it with you!

And I must add our Dawn (newly elected vice-president) who's expertise has in marketing has changed our world.  And, of course our dear Rick.  The Cholangiocarcinoma website is much admired for its content and overall layout.  (I don't think he ever sleeps) and, of course our Sara a.k. president of The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation who, ever so efficiently gives direction to this organization.

Marions,  A big thank you to you and all those you mentioned above. The drive, determination, knowledge and support by all of you is appreciated more than you will ever know.

Is there anyone in the SF Bay Area that would like to brain-storm with me to organize a Walk?   Perhaps a Dog Walk / Parade at Point Iasabel ?

Ive been looking for a reason to take my mom to California.   Let me know the date of walk when it is decided.  Now Im thinking we definitely need a walk in Chicago as well.  Ill get a hold of Patty, Im certain she would help me figuire out how to get it going...

I agree!  I love meeting up with my cholangio family.  I know many loved ones from above are very happy we have found eachother.  Marion, Im serious about coming to California this summer and Lainy, we would love to stop to see you and Robin.  I dont go on the site like I used to, maybe because its 2 years that my dad passed, and Im still just so sad...but I get updates daily from my mom, and I feel very connected to this little "club" that unfortunately keeps growing..
  Maybe, I can get Patty to come along, but at the very least her and I want to take a ride to see Darla.
Thanks for everything Marion, my mom really, really enjoyed her experience and is so glad she did something to help.
