Topic: Cured of CC

My wife Cindy was diagnosed in March of 2007 with a massive bile duct cancer that consumed over 75% of her liver.  Her tumor marker in March was 37,000, the largest number ever recorded.  Today she is 100% CC free.  Her last blood test recorded her tumor marker at 19, well with in the normal range of 0-40.  Tell every to watch Cindy's miraculous story at www.curedoflivercancer.com and www.cindysmiracle.com.

God bless,
Neill Russell

Re: Cured of CC

Dear Neal and Cindy,
What a testimony to God's continuing power in the world today.  We truly believe in miracles and although Joe is not cancer free he has had 15 months of blessed time with hardly any symptoms having been diagnosed July 2006 with stage 4.  We are thankful for your miracle and imagine many cc  patients will be wanting to hear more about Dr. Canady. Praise God. Hope all continues to go well.  Mary Anne

Neill and Cindy..... A great testimony of faith , belief, and prayer.  Palsm 23 is a verse that I memorized in Sunday school 40 years or so ago.  I still recommend today for people to read it to find comfort. God Bless and continued health for you both.

Re: Cured of CC

FYI: I cannot comment on the acuracy of the following summary, but I thought I would post it on here since there's an ongoing discussion regarding Dr. Canady.  The comments provided below were found at the following website: http://www.aana.com/resources.aspx?ucNa … mp;id=2324

I will try and provide the actual case soon.

Canady v Providence Hospital
The case of Canady v Providence Hospital, 942 F. Supp. 11 (D.C., 1996) is a collection of the legal remedies that are often used to attack the denial or restriction of privileges. Jerome Canady, MD, a surgeon, met with the representatives of a hospital in the District of Columbia, indicating that he wanted to perform vascular and thoracic surgery, as well as general surgery. Over the next few months, Dr Canady met with a number of physicians associated with the hospital, discussing various types of procedures that he wished to perform but, when viewed in retrospect, not necessarily being guaranteed that he would be allowed to do so. He finally received a letter from the president of the hospital informing him of his provisional appointment to the staff, but the letter was silent as to privileges. When Dr Canady inquired what his privileges were, the president of the hospital responded verbally that as far as she knew he had been granted everything he applied for. However, the president of the hospital was not the person authorized to grant privileges.

Not long after Dr Canady began operating at the new hospital, things went rapidly downhill. Four months after he began performing operations at the hospital he was sent a letter stating that the hospital would not schedule a patient for thoracic surgery if Dr Canady was the private primary surgeon. As a result of problems he was having with the hospital, he reviewed his credentials file and discovered, for the first time, that he had not been given thoracic or vascular privileges.

Consequently, Dr Canady retained a lawyer and brought suit against the hospital. This resulted in a settlement in which both sides appeared to save face. The suit was withdrawn, Dr Canady's privileges were reinstated, and Dr Canady agreed to furnish a written second opinion for certain cases. However, it turned out that this did not resolve the matter. Misunderstandings continued about Dr Canady's compliance, and Dr Canady did not get satisfactory answers to questions about his privileges. Matters continued largely unresolved until winter when there was another incident in which another staff physician questioned Dr Canady's competence. A proceeding for "corrective action" was instituted, and the process ultimately resulted in the suspension of Dr Canady's privileges. Dr Canady's suit is a catalog of legal theories that a practitioner can use to challenge the actions of a hospital in denying privileges.

Legal remedies
The first legal theory is a claim that the action of the hospital is a violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act: "Every contract...or conspiracy in restraint of trade...is declared to be illegal." (15 USC

Re: Cured of CC

Dear All,

I have sat silently for some time about Dr Canady. Neill I am so glad your wife is better. She is the exception however not the rule. I know DR canady and his work and Sara is so right . Do you all find it interesting that he is at such a small obscure hospital ? Why? Th elarger ones do not want him he is unable to obtain priveledges to any of them . Do you know how many patients he has lost . Alot so many he gave hope to are now dead. . They not only died but had horrible deaths full of pain  but all along Dr canady fights for them at least he makes the families think he is fighting for them when in actuality he is fighting for himself his business his so called invention which he basically stole from another company and is still in court over that . He befriends his patients and there families to avoid lawsuits he is a smart business or shouls i say con man PLeae I say to all STOP

Re: Cured of CC

truth4u - you make a lot of strong accusations about Dr. Canady - do you have any support for these claims?  For example, Neill came on here supporting Dr. Canady, and posted a link to a website describing his wife's experience with Dr. Canady.  A few of the others have shared their own experiences.  I have not had a personal experience with Dr. Canady, but I found an analysis of the legal theories involved in a case pertaining to Dr. Canady and posted that summary.  I think it is important to share all sides on the message boards - it gives the community here the opportunity to review as many details as possible so that he/she can make informed decisions regarding treatment.  Therefore, please post the support for your claims.  If you don't have any support, I imagine that the claims will fall flat and do more harm than good.

The message boards are evolving - I think what is most appropriate for this forum is to post information that can either be substantiated by outside sources, or is clearly an opinion.  I also think we need to refrain from asserting blanket claims without providing support.  Most importantly, I think everyone in this community should be respectful of each other's choices regarding treatment, and should refrain from telling each other that we're making a big mistake.  At the end of the day, each individual is making his/her own decision, and that decision is the right decision no matter if everyone else agrees/disagrees with the individual.  I would be interested in hearing additional opinions - to that end, I will start a thread on the Suggestions Forum, and look forward to seeing more comments.

Re: Cured of CC

Sara,

I am very knwoeledgable about dr canady however to reveal how I know thesethings and who he has done this diservice to would not be fair to the people he has harmed I am sure in time this will come into light . When you put  your self in the spotlight you set your self up for this eventually tose who have hd the negative experience with him will come outand tell you . I cannot reveal there names or actually how I know all of this but believe me it is true. I am not saying Dr canady does not try and help I just do not think he is ethically right . I mean if we just use common sense why is he at such a small hospital a hospital that has a bad reputation in itsself . Why is he not famous ? Why is he not published other than his invention -I am saying there is alot of secrecy and alot of contoversy surrounding him. I wish what he is doing was true I did see  Neils story I however doubt that any of these people are cancer free thosse are strog words and Neill is very misinformed about tumor markers and ca 19 levels. I am saying do you think this doctor is so talented more so than John Hopkins, Sloan Kettering UPMC I just think the doctors there do notfeel itis morally right to gve false hope. The dilema for a cancer surgeon is this if I remove thr tumor or if I don't remove the tumor will the outcome be the same ? I will stay silent after this as not to upset anyone I just want people to relize the last resort maybe there  biggest mistake. Oh and for the record my father died in his hands after he told us he would live told us that he was such a skilled surgeon and that no other surgeon was talented enough to do this. My father died . So I started researching talkin gto people many of which are fellow physicians and nurses that work on a daily basis with him . That is how I have come to the conclusions I have . I wish all of you the best

Re: Cured of CC

Dear Truth4u,

What type of cancer did your dad have and how far was it extended? My dad is scheduled to have surgery with Dr Canady on the 14th and I take your accusations very seriously.

Best regards.

Katia

Re: Cured of CC

Dear Katia,

I am thankful that you  are taking me serious I would not feel so strong or hunt the web to find ways to reach out to people about the self proclaimed miracle doctor.  My father had pancreatic and liver caner with involvement in the bile ducts. Let me tell you and I apologize if I scare or upset you in any way . His patients all do well at first with the exception of a few that died immediately . The ones that survive the surgery  then develop complications the liver is not an organ that takes to kindly t being messed with . I could tell you exactly what can happen and I hope that Dr Canady told you the risks involved and they are high . YOu father will make it through the surgery I am sure but through the recover y I am doubtful that  he will .  Ask him about infection rate ask him about mortality rate ask him about the post op complication DIC and see if he is truthful with you . My best advice to you cancel the surgery go to some other physicain you know and ask them about  what Canady plans use common sense why is he at such a small hospital that has such a bad reputation why is he not famous on the national news. I hope you do what is best and all works out please know I wish that for you and the only reason I am speaking out is beacuse veryone out there needs to know the whole picture not just the one he paints fo ryou .

In my thoughts,

Truth4u

Re: Cured of CC

My family is also evaluating whether to take this route with Dr. Canady.

One surgeon (a student of Dr. Jenkins at Lahey) said maybe, but Dr. Jenkins said no.

We do intend to cover all the excellent questions Truth4u asks, if, by chance, we are told surgery is an option.

We will share our experiences as well.

Best wishes to all on this taxing journey,

Tam

Re: Cured of CC

Dear Truth4u,

I appreciate your honesty and you coming forward. I have a few questions for you if that's OK:
- did your dad have an MRI before the surgery?
- did Dr Canady explained exactly where the tumors where from the MRI? Was he truthful about it and did it correspond with the report from the radiologist?
- how many surgeries did your dad have prior and with Dr Canady?
and - did he have chemio or radiation therapy before the surgery?

You answering these questions is important to us and sorry if they are very personal.

Thanks again for your honesty.

Best regards.

Katia

Re: Cured of CC

Katia,

Yes he did have mris an dother tests. Yes he did explain but made it sound like it was so easy to to it an dwe were lucky to have found him and his skills.  He had had one surgery prior to him no radiation or chemo. I hope this helps. How old is your father? Does he have any medical conditions other than the cancer. My father was in surgery for a very long time after the fact people have told me that being under anesthesia for so long is not good also I always wonder why does he not hav e a team of surgeons helping him . At UPMC there are teams to have one surgeon in the operating room all that time -does that seem unsafe to you ??  Do you want to tell me about your father Nd his condition it is up to you . To me it seems like you r hesitant  you must trust instinct . I will tell u one thing by no means does he cure cancer there is no cure for cancer and if he found one he would be a billionaire.  Cutting it out does not cure things just delays things in this type of caner it always comes back if they even survive.

In my thought

Re: Cured of CC

Dear Truth4u,

I appreciate you telling me your dad's history. My dad is 71 he has cancer of the gallbladder and bile ducts which is spreading to the middle of his liver. At the moment he has it nowhere else that can be seen. He had an unsuccessful operation on the 4th of September and he has had no chemio or radio. I understand that the operation has enormous risks. We have been explained the risks but  the other prospect is bleak.

The problem that Dr Canady has is that a lot of the people that come to him (I include us) have been turned down from anywhere else for surgery and have stage 4 cancer or very advanced or in various locations. The operations that he conducts are therefore very risky.  I expect his mortality rate to be higher than other surgeon's. However, I do agree with you that it is important to go in in full knowledge of the risks and concious of the probability of success and Dr Canady is a very confident man which can be interpreted as nothing wrong can happen. I don't know what the answer to all this is and we are very scared about my dad but we just have to hope and trust our instincts.

Best regards.

Katia

Re: Cured of CC

Dear Katia,

I am sure you are scareed very natural feeling . My question to you is if others have told you it cannot be done why do you think  he can do it because he says he can . The other doctors have  moral obligation to not put your father through an ordeal . It may buy him some time but what condition will he be in . Canady has nothing to lose he makes money either way . I feel all this news hype on a local tv  show seems somewhat commercialized . How many other doctors do you see on tv promoting themselves. The first man that was origanally on tv I was recently told was no longer alive and lived in pain and with horrible wounds. I will no longer try to convince you to go an alternate route but I will be here if you need a friend

Re: Cured of CC

Dear Jeff,

Your story certainly breaks my heart and a stong person you must be. Whether or not Canady invented this machine has yet to be determined there are allegations that the patent is stolen and many court nots about it . I feel as if I am fighting a losing battle trying to save people from his grasps I guess they will just hav eto learn on their own . As for you I only wish you peace and love for you and yours.

Re: Cured of CC

thrugh4u,
you are not fighting a losing battle at all.  In fact, you are bringing out an opinion causing us to think and evaluate a surgeon.  This is beneficial, as all of us are working towards the same goal:  awareness, hope and a cure for this cancer.
Thanks for your input

Thank you Marion

Re: Cured of CC

Let me reinforce Marion's words - as a result of your courage to post we will be even more vigilant in our evaluation in the event my uncle is told he is a surgical canddate by Dr. Canady.

Thank you!

Re: Cured of CC

How did this happen? Where can we read more about it?

Re: Cured of CC

Cherryle,

How did what happen

Re: Cured of CC

Hello

I see that there are 2 people scheduled for meetings or surgery with Doctor Canady next week. Please post updates for our readers if possible.

Thanks

PS: Both my wife and I were suspicious of him to say the least. I am trying to give advice according to facts and not feelings to one of my family members that is ill.

There was a comment on here yesterday that DR Canady had been suspended and I had ask the person what happened. I see now that comment is gone?

This was the comment they made.
To those of you discussing Dr. Canady - he has been suspended as of 11/8/07.

Re: Cured of CC

Hi Cherryle

My wife said something about that also. I will try to post the link asap.
