Topic: Resection scheduled for April 4
I'm putting this in good news, because a year ago I didn't know if I'd ever be posting this! So it's good news, right??
My resection is finally scheduled for April 4. My parents are coming up on the 1st to take care of me while I need them.
I've known for a few weeks what the schedule is, and I have to say I wish I hadn't had so much time to wait. The stress is unbelievable. And since my embolization 2 weeks ago, I haven't felt well. So I've been home alone. With my thoughts and fears. No matter how I feel, tonight I am going out to dancing to visit with my friends, and try to take my mind off of everything. I don't know that I am up to dancing, but I need to get out.
I just hope this cough/congestion ends soon. They nicked my lung during the embo and it's been bad for a couple of weeks. (pneumonialike). It better be gone by April 4th because I want to cough on my own timetable, not my lung's. Anyone who's been thru one of these surgeries knows you have to cough, and how much it hurts! I certainly don't want my lungs making me cough! That'll be rough.
Just 2 weeks and I'll be writing in this section again. About how well the surgery went. I just need to keep thinking that way!
