Topic: "middle miles"
"Hikers refer to them as"middle miles." these are the most exhausting, challenging miles on the path, when the exhilaration of beginning the journey has evaporated into drudgery and the promise of the path's end has not yet given new energy for the stepping." Henry E. Woodruff
Not that I found the beginning of the journey exactly exhilarating but it was a whirlwind of activity and a surrounding of friends and family and now though not as raw and debilitating it seems a drudgery. Like a hiker we will get through these exhausting days and will reach that point where we feel the satisfaction of finishing this part of the journey and the next path (hike) will be that much easier. Oh, the hills we have to climb but the view at the top will be worth it.
