Topic: I'm listed

I guess this belongs here on the "good news".
I got a call today, that the have listed me on the transplant list.
Needless to say, I'm freaking out.
I really don't know what to say....

Tiff.......I am so thrilled for you.  It's o.k. to freak out a bit but read our Cathy's postings. She knows how to inspire tansplant patients.

Hi Tiff!

This is great news and yes, it sure does belong here in the good news section of the site!!! There's nothing wrong with freaking out or feeling scared, and if I was in your shoes I'd feel the same I think. But to me, this is good news, very very good news in fact and thanks for sharing it here! You say you don't know what to say, no problems, but what would Jim say to you?

Tiff,

That's great!  I used to be a liver transplant nurse, if you ever have any questions, but you should be assigned a transplant coordinator who will walk you through the process.
I don't want to worry you, but did you get insurance approval for the transplant?

This gave me the chills Tiff!!  So excited for you and hell yeah this belongs in the GREAT news section.  I would be nervous, scared, anxious, and over the moon too!

Susie- thank you! I'm not really worried about insurance. We have awesome insurance, and they have been very good to us.

Tiff-Congrats again!! Enjoy the moment, it will be one to remember! ( I keep my letter framed!!). I might have to think a quick trip to Huntsville before you leave! I also doubt you would have been tested with out insurance approval first! Call when you have time (618-567-3247).
So glad prayers are working but I think we have an inside force called Kim and Jim!! God always has a plan!

Now this is what I have been waiting to hear! So happy, thrilled, and excited for you! Like I said on Facebook I never thought I would say I was excited over a liver transplant, but I am! This gives you an excellent chance for a recovery and a long life with those beautiful children and husband. I'll pray the wait is not too long! I can only imagine your anxiety! Do you do yoga or meditate? Great for the nerves. Sending hugs to you and all your family.

Tiff.....This is just such uplifting news...I'm so happy for you and will be praying that everything will go perfectly...you know we CC patients freak, get anxious, scared and nervous over just about everything I don't think we would be human if we didn't.  Thank God we have our awesome caretakers,friends and family with us! Please keep us updated...you go girl!
