Hi Everyone,
David and I started a fund through The Akron Community Foundation to raise research money for our disease. The organization featured us in their publication and also made a video of our story. The publication is mailed out to thousands. Here is the link to the video which will be on their website soon.
We will continue to raise money and spread the word about cc.

Aren't they just the best. Lauren and I feel so blessed to have Lisa in our lives. We love you so much, dear friend. We just had lunch with her again on Monday. We are all excited as we will be meeting our very own Kris for lunch this Saturday!! Without this site, we probably would never have met. So, thank you so much CC Foundation!

It was wonderful seeing your video and your efforts to raise funds for the purple ribbon wearers in addition to pink! My doctor said that all the intestinal cancers outnumber Breast cancer but intestinal ones are compartmentalised do that we have pancreatic and bile duct and esophageal so that there isn't a strong number yet for research that would directly deal with our small numbers. I keep hoping to find out a direct place funds will go for research. Where will money make an impact? The Akron fund doesn't do the direct research. Who do they link with for this? Hoping to find out! Maybe Marian or someone else knows where money can help directly with research. Thanks!
Thank you sooo much for sharing this video. I was thinking today that instead of getting presents for the holiday season we will be asking our kids and other familynmembers to donate to cc fund.
Christerry, what an absolutely fabulous idea!!! By the way we also have FREE greeting cards on this site to help spread the word of CC. If you just go up to Get Involved at the top, then click on send an E Card there they are and very nice! My point, long way around as usual is, who ever one is sending a donation for can tell them in one of our cards. PERFECT!
We will not have raised enough money in our fund to grant for research for probably another year or two. The criteria for our fund clearly states that the money goes to cc research only. We will consult with the experts from this board, several specialists and the board of directors.
