Topic: Getting ready for another ct scan

I have another ct scan on Tuesday. Trying to keep the scanxiety under control.... This will be the 6 month after radiation... I can't wait to post good news! Here's praying that something is going to work on this disease!

Hi Kris,

You and Lauren will be in the "tubes" on the same day!! She has an MRI on Tuesday. I think she would like to trade places with you. She hates MRIs. CTs don't bother her so much. Good luck and I will be praying for great results!!

Sending positive thoughts and prayers to you....are you going to Sloan in Basking Ridge?  If you need a buddy to go with I'm only about a half hour away....can't wait to hear of your good results....@Pam...ditto on the thoughts and prayers for Lauren...looking forward to seeing all the posts in the good news section! I agree with Lauren CT's are much easier on the anxiety part they are much faster then the MRI...and alot less noisy!

Pam, wishing Lauren a very successful scan tomorrow. I find that if I put a small towel over my eyes the scans don't bother me at all. Will have everything crossed for a great scan!

Thanks lulu and Lainy. Sorry, Kris. Didn't mean to hijack your post. Lainy- I mentioned the towel to Lauren and she is going to ask for one. Her doctor told her to take two Ativan right before she goes in the tube, so hopefully that will help too. They have two different size MRI's at Michigan and she got the small one once and it totally made her freak out. She is not a small person so it made her feel like she was wedged in a small pipe. We always request the larger model now. Just thought I would mention this so that others are made aware there is more than one size MRI.

Pam: I just saw Lauren's post and will be praying extra hard for BOTH of us tomorrow. I agree that ct scans are much easier. I keep my eyes closed in the MRI and pretend I'm on a very noisy beach with some jack hammering idiot close by! And no, hijack away! I've done it, too.
Nancy: I would love to meet you! Yes i will be at Basking Ridge. If you want to "hang out" at the clinic I will be there at 11 to drink the kool aid. If not, I should be done by 12:30-1 and will be REALLY hungry! We could meet for a late lunch, too. Btw I will be the tallest woman and probably the tallest person in the room! Ha!
I am praying that I can post the "all calm" post again so people can have more faith in the stereotactic radiation. It would give so much more hope!! I believe it was a shot in the dark whether it would work.

Ok three of us in the tube tomorrow.....I have a cat scan and blood work to start the mapping for steriotactic radiation...sending prayers in all directions.....I like when the three of us have lunch much better than scans !
I wonder if I can get IV Ativan ? Oh that would be blissful !

Results are tomorrow.
I know, I'm worrying about nothing...... She's gonna walk in and say everything looks quiet and I will have my 8 seconds with her.... Then treatment in the pump and tears of relief and the train home!!
