Topic: Med Update
Just spent 2 days in the Hospital "holding tank". All tests, all LABS everything is good except my potassium hit almost bottom and they were afraid of a heart attack. OMG! It was so icy cold in there I thought I was already in a morgue! LOL They got my potassium up to normal and I came home last night. Bottom line is that it is all from being off the Prednisone! Just what we thought in the begining. Could take another month yet.
They brought me dinner which of course I could not eat but there was a bowl of sliced oranges. I tried one and I could not stop sucking on that orange. It was like a filet mignon! Robin is going to the store today and getting me things we think I can try like oranges, popsicles, Italian ice. They said to start very slowly. Down to 132 LBS. Very, very tired.
Even biopsies from the swollen Pylorus came back benign. Back to my favorite place....bed. Oh, got checked for cortizol and that was normal too!
So one might say I am perfectly healthy except for the UC but I have to get my strength up first. One thing at a time. Just had an orange Popsicle and it was delish!
