Topic: I'm more scared now than ever

First of all, thank from the bottom of our hearts at the quick responses and  information that was given to us. It was so wonderful and positive....not to mention EXTREMELY helpful! I am so happy to let you know that we will now be setting up our 7-10 consult with dr.'s tomorrow and be heading back east very soon...you are all answer to prayer...you will never know how you all just blessed us and we don't even know who you all are except through this site...However, the past three days, Lee seems to have taken a turn for the worst....he is losing weight again, won't really eat or drink, is frigidly cold, gray past is color, legs go numb easily, very sleepy and really withdrawn...I'm really afraid we are losing him...I want to take him to the hospital, but he says he just wants to be home and sleep...he was not very interested in Easter bunny stuff this morning saying he just doesnt feel very good which for Lee to miss anything with Emilee is very, very, unusual....does anyone have any experience with any of the above?  He has even stated he doesnt want to go through this anymore and if he died he would be with our lord and savior jesus christ....am I losing him?

Re: I'm more scared now than ever

HEather,
I am so confused. I thought you just posted he was cured of cancer but still needing a liver transplant? OK, you hold on and make Lee hold on until you get to the doctor. I know from my doctor, the PET scan will not always pick up tumors less than 1 cm. So it is not 100% reliable. That said, the problems could be an infection which is causing the most of the problems and lack of excercise causing the numbness. I dont know, you dont know and Lee doesnt know what is going on...only a doctor will so hold on until you can get an appt and if things really start to worry you go to the hospital.

I can only imagine the swings from good to bad news to confusion. We are all here behind you and hoping for the best.

Kris

Re: I'm more scared now than ever

Thanks Kris...we feel like we have just been punched in the stomach and our hearts ripped right out and thrown away....we are told one thing, led to believe another and you are right....God is pointing us to Mayo in Minnesota  so I know that our answers are lying within up there. I feel like a stupid idiot who knows nothing other than to hold to what little hope we seem to have left...it's like we can't look forward to anything other than pain and suffering...I know it sounds like we are feeling sorry for ourselves, but I gotta tell ya...this really, really, @#$%^& sucks! Please forgive me for jumping the gun and leading everyone to false conclusions....I feel like a big boob....I truly apprecite your guidance and advice...it really helps...and we will hold on...he is at least eating and sitting up now! Smiles and hugs to Kris!

Re: I'm more scared now than ever

heatherkp,
please, don't feel as if you have to appoligize for anything...ever...Every bit of good news is welcome as is the not so good one. It is not uncommon to be experiencing both end of the spectrum in intervals.  Happy to hear that Lee is eating some food. Hopefully, he will regain some strenghts and his mood will improve.
Wishing for the best,
Marions
