Topic: My brother has gone home

Hello all. 

I arrived at my brothers on Sunday at 9 am.  I was able to spend some time with him considering how many family members showed up.  I spent the night and got to enjoy him on my own all day Monday.  I shared some very precious moments with him.  Either way my brother passed at 7:55 that night.  His wife and I held his hands when he took his last breath.  I really hope he wasn't scared.  I know he is in a better place and no longer suffering.  He fought for one year and did the best he could.

Dearest Annie, I am so very sorry. NO, he was not scared. How could anyone be scared going to eternal beauty and Peace and having loved ones waiting for you at your destination? We are scared, they are not, I truly believe that.

Those we love must someday pass beyond our present sight…
They leave us and the world we know without their radiant light.
But we know that like a candle their lovely light will shine
To brighten up another place more perfect…more divine.
And in the realm of Heaven where they shine so warm and bright,
Our loved ones live forevermore in God’s eternal light.

Dear Annie,

I am so very sorry indeed to hear of the passing of your dear brother. Please accept my sincere condolences. I am glad that you got to spend that day on your own with him and to share those so special moments. Your brother fought such a brave fight and he is suffering no more. My thoughts are with you and your family right now.

I am soooooo sad to read about your brother.   Please take comfort in believing that he has gone to heaven, a place where one day he will meet again all those who made his world.

Annie,

I am so very sorry about your brother's passing.  I am glad that you got to see him and also that you were with his wife and him.  I have found  this poem very comforting when I've lost those close to me, I hope you do as well.

I am standing by the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze
and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength,
and I stand and watch
until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud
just where the sun and sky come down to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says, 'There she goes!
Gone where? Gone from my sight - that is all.

She is just as large in mast and hull and spar
as she was when she left my side
and just as able to bear her load of living freight
to the places of destination.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.

And just at the moment when someone at my side says,
'There she goes! ' ,
there are other eyes watching her coming,
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout :
'Here she comes!'

Dear Annie,

I am so sorry to hear about your brother. It is nice you were able to see him and spend time with him before his passing. He was at peace and able to leave this Earth with his two special girls next to him. I'm sure he wasn't afraid with you by his side. Bless you, Annie.

Dear Annie,

I am so sorry to hear of your brother's passing.  It does sound like it was peaceful.  Take comfort in knowing he is now in a better place and no longer suffering or in pain.  There are no words that can make this better, but try to remember him as he was before CC.  Keep him with you forever in your heart and those wonderful memeories.  You and your family have my deepest sympathy and understanding.  Take care.

Hello my name is Faith and I was diagnosed with cc November 2, 2011 and at the time the doctor gave me 2 months to live.  I am so sorry for your loss may your blessings be many and until we meet again let God hold you in the power of his hands.  I hope you are doing well.
