Topic: Whipple Survivor New Problem
Hello CC Warriors! It's been awhile. Teddy is now 75 and had his Whipple 2 1/2 years ago. Everything was going great, still working full time and golfing. Last MRI showed a blockage in his right kidney drain and the kidney is very swollen. He is going in Monday morning to have a drainage tube inserted and will wear a bag for awhile. Bags he is used to having had 3 after the Whipple. The Urologist said the blockage could be "something from the Whipple" surgery, a stone or cancer. What has me is this Urologist keeps reminding me that what Teddy survived, few do and it HAS been 1 1/2 years. Has anyone had any kind of blockage like this? Also since the Dr. made the survival remark to me twice, I am wondering what he really suspects? He is a top Urologist here but I guess his bedside manner is kind of "pissy"! Stay strong and keep up the good fight!
I am in awe of all of you! Lainy Sardina
