Topic: Psorinum

I have been advised to take Psorinum by a doctor with whom I've been consulting in San Francisco, based on several very promising looking studies by Dr. Chatterjee.  The trouble is that I do not see much other research on this.  Does anyone have experience with this?

Re: Psorinum

Hi Regina. You can Google Psorinum and after reading about it, I am sorry but my own opinion is it is another of many "cures" for nothing. We have had many discussions on these things and feel if something was that powerful why are Doctors all not recommending it. The Doctor you are consulting with, is he an ONC? You have to do as you feel right but PLEASE never do anything without consulting your own ONC. Remember that CC is still very rare and 'others' should not be telling you what to take as most still don't even know about CC. But you can Google it and best of luck.

Re: Psorinum

Thanks, Lainy~  Yes, I am truly skeptical, but though it is so rare, I leave an open mind to treaments taht have not yet been approved.  I have EXACTLY the same question you do, and the alternative docs always say the same:  it's because Big PHarma doesn't stand to make money from it.  But Psorinum had several published studies showing remarkable reults that impressed even my onc at Columbia Presbyterian.

Has anyone tried?  Has anyone followed Raymond CHang's protocols?  Has anyone tried dendritic cell vaccines.  I can't seem to find these on this forum, perhaps because I am still not adept at using it.

Thanks much.

Re: Psorinum

Hi Regina,

I had a look around the site for anything about Psorinum in it but couldn't find anything. I had a look also for anything regarding dentritic cells and found this posting from our Kris that has some links in it that may be of interest to you. But, the posting is from a good few years ago now as are the links in it also.

Re: Psorinum

Hi Regina, just to say that i've had a look at the research on Psorinum and it looks very promising to me. If my mum wasn't trying a whole host of other therapies then we'd probably give this a go.

I know that there is a lot of controversary and differing opinions about alterative approaches, but I'm presonally in the 'pro conventional and pro non-conventional medicine' camp. Do let us know if you go ahead with this, and how you get on. All the best, Jules.

Re: Psorinum

HI Jules~  There are several papers written by Chatterjees who conducted trials in India with a trust funded by another Chatterjee.  They look like legitimate trials, but I find it very surprising that, given their surprising results, there haven't been other studies to replicate this.

I, too, believe in a multi-faceted approach, but it's very difficult to sort out the quackery.

If anyone finds any further info, I would be very interested.

Best to you,
Regina

HI Jules, Lainy, et al~  There are several papers written by Chatterjees who conducted trials in India with a trust funded by another Chatterjee.  They look like legitimate trials, but I find it very surprising that, given their surprising results, there haven't been other studies to replicate this.  My onc was impresses when we read these, but knows nothing about it.  It falls somewhere between innoculation (by the pus of the scabies virus) and homeopathy, as the concentration recommended: 6x (not 6c) allows for enough molecules of the substance to have an effect that could be rationalized by Western Medicine.

I, too, believe in a multi-faceted approach, but it's very difficult to sort out the quackery.

If anyone finds any further info, I would be very interested.
