Topic: Amazon smile and donations

If you use Amazon to buy things, you might be interested in this.

I just found out that you can have 0.5% of each purchase made at Amazon donated to a charity of your choice.

To set this up, you have to do the following:

Do this one time to set it up
-log into your amazon account as normal
-go to
-select a charity to donate to (they already recognize cholangiocarcinoma foundation)

Once it is set up, do this to make a donation:
-Start at
-Shop as normal

The only catch is that you have to start off at  Set that as your amazon bookmark and you should be good to go.

If it is working, the top left will indicate that your donations will benefit the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.

Re: Amazon smile and donations

Thanks for that. I had no idea and I shop there a lot. I'll make sure to go that route in the future!  Every little bit helps.

Re: Amazon smile and donations

Wow, Jason, many thanks for your post. Not only is that exciting for the donations but it is equally exciting to know our name is getting out there!

Thanks for the tip!

Great find Jason.

Re: Amazon smile and donations

Thanks Jason. Helen and her AMMF use a similar site here in the UK for online shopping with over 2700 retailers. Works the same I think as the site you mention, you log into it first then it registers your visit to that site then you go to whatever site you are going to to shop so that the charity get the donation. Some of the sites do up to about 5% donations too. … carcinoma/
