Topic: In hospital with blood infection
I'm currently sitting here in the hospital getting pumped with antibiotics to fight a blood infection. If I had waited to go in to see the doctor, my infection could have proved fatal.
The infection originated in the bile ducts due to bacteria backing up into the bile ducts past the narrowing where the tumor is.
I'm posting this as a reminder to y'all to listen to what your body is telling you. I was having fevers and pain in the liver area on and off for three days. I'm glad I called my oncologist. Fortuntately, we caught it in time.
The bad news is that last night's CT scan showed that the tumor has grown a bit. So next week I'm going to discuss other treatment options with my oncologist. Actually, I'm fortunate that my regimen has worked so well for so long.
2Co 4:16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
2Co 4:17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,
2Co 4:18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
