Liz had an eternal spirit of connection— known for sending cards, letters and notes via snail-mail to anyone she remembered that day or week. After her passing in May 2021, her children received calls and emails from people saying “your mom sent me a card every year on the anniversary of my husband’s passing.” Liz was married for 63 years to Jerry and they had 4 children, 6 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. They’ll tell you they never heard Liz say a negative word about anyone. She volunteered for churches, PTA, schools and worked as an executive administrator. She loved polka music, playing the piano, singing, seeing live shows and collected dimes. Liz managed her finances on her Excel spreadsheets up until 2 weeks before her death. When this disease took her voice at the end, she and her husband communicated via sign language, as ASL was something he taught her during their dating years. When one of her family members spots a random dime, they think of her and smile.

September 3, 1964 – November 21, 2024

Jeffery was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and son. His time here was spent writing, painting, biking, and inspiring so many others with his long term sobriety. He loved to travel and was always up for an adventure! While his journey with Cholangiocarcinoma only lasted 13 months, he faced every challenge and side effect with positivity and a strong determination to get to the other side.
Jeffery’s smile and laugh lit up the room and he will never be forgotten.

David Glenn is a father, son, brother, uncle, friend, grandpa. He lived in Orland Park, IL with his wife Marianne and his daughters, Amy and Katie. He was a musician, loved his country, and served in the National Guard during Vietnam. He was a businessman, owning a sporting goods store for over 50 years.

He longed to be a grandpa and was told he would be to twins. He was diagnosed a month later and he missed their births by one month. He now has 4 grandchildren, who all deserved to know him.

Out of all of Dave Glenn’s qualities-loving, kind, intelligent, it was his selflessness that made him unique. He would help anyone in need and give the shirt off his back. The last thing he did was donate to the GWAS study because he believed in the research. He said “it may not help me but it’s for the next guy and his daughter.” We carry on his mission by supporting other families who go through this until there is a cure.

We will all continue to honor his legacy of love.

Lorrie was full of life and spunk. She was an ER and ICU nurse whose kindness and compassion was felt daily. She loved to travel, was an amazing cook and baker, enjoyed tending her garden with her husband and was a voracious reader. Most of all, she relished her role as Nana and Mother.

She tackled adversity with grit, strength, and grace and showed those of us lucky enough to love her, how to show up for others. She is greatly missed and loved and we aspire to continue her legacy of compassion and love each day.

Eve Baker is remembered for many remarkable accomplishments and journeys, and her legacy now lives through her support of others. One way specifically is through the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation’s CholangioPath app, where patients and caregivers will find trusted guidance as they navigate one of life’s most difficult journeys.

A beloved sister, advocate, and longtime supporter of the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, Eve made a remarkable commitment to future patients through her estate plans, leaving a $100,000 legacy gift to advance the Foundation’s mission. Working closely with Eve’s sisters, Alisa Baker and Susanna Baker, CCF identified a way to honor Eve’s life that reflected both her passions and her desire to help others. Their collaboration resulted in the dedication of the Anatomy section of the CholangioPath app, a fitting tribute to someone who believed that movement is medicine.

Eve was brilliant, creative, fiercely independent, and endlessly compassionate. A gifted writer and musician from an early age, she earned degrees in creative writing and education before becoming a high school teacher and later a college writing professor. She encouraged her students to find their own path, believing there was never just one definition of success.

Outside the classroom, Eve found healing in movement. After discovering that long-distance hiking helped her manage depression, she embraced the outdoors with characteristic determination. In her late 30s, she solo-hiked the entire 2,000-mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. Along the trail, she met a massage therapist who inspired a new calling. Eve went on to become a master massage therapist, building a respected pain management practice in Brattleboro, Vermont. Her understanding of anatomy, combined with her empathy and compassion, made her an exceptional healer and trusted friend to many.

When Eve was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in 2021, she approached the disease with the same determination that had defined every chapter of her life. She immersed herself in research, sought innovative treatment options, and connected with other patients to share knowledge and hope. Despite the challenges of a rare and aggressive cancer, she refused to let her diagnosis define her.

She continued hiking whenever she could, including memorable trips through France and Portugal with her sisters.
With the guidance of Alisa and Susanna, Eve’s generous estate gift has been used to sponsor the app’s Anatomy section, creating an enduring tribute that reflects both her profession and her passion for helping others understand the human body.

Every patient who explores this section will benefit from resources designed to explain the anatomy of the biliary system and provide a stronger foundation for understanding cholangiocarcinoma. It is exactly the kind of educational resource Eve believed every patient deserved.
Through her generosity, Eve’s legacy continues to uplift patients and families with knowledge, guidance, and hope.

Tracy was a mother to three children, Jane, Jake, and Madeline, and a loving wife to Greg for nearly 40 years. She was a doula, business owner, animal rescue volunteer, nature lover, incredible cook, and someone who found so much joy in good food and feeding the people she loved.

But more than anything, she was a mother to anyone who needed one. She had a way of making people feel cared for, welcomed, and loved. Her heart was bigger than words can describe, and the love she gave so freely will stay with us forever.

Mark Raymond Clements of Draper, Utah, was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, attorney, and friend. Born in Gridley, California, Mark attended Brigham Young University before earning his law degree with honors from Stanford Law School. He built a successful career as an attorney and a serial entrepreneur in Salt Lake City. He was known for his intelligence, kindness, leadership, and commitment to serving others.

Mark married his wife, Marianne Murdock, in 1989, and together they had four children: Patrick, Chase, Tessa, and Lucas. Mark loved attending their activities and sharing life with them. He was an avid BYU sports fan and enjoyed traveling to games with family and friends.

Mark’s experience with cholangiocarcinoma in 2005 led his family to search extensively for information, resources, and a community of support at a time when very little existed. That experience inspired his family to create the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, ensuring that no patient or family would have to navigate the disease alone.

Today, Mark’s legacy lives on through the Foundation and its work to provide support, advance research, educate communities, and bring hope to those affected by cholangiocarcinoma.
